Jennifer McGill is a Partner at the Reproductive Law Center, one of the leading law firms in the United States dedicated exclusively to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) law. With over 15 years of dedicated experience, she provides comprehensive legal support to individuals and families navigating collaborative reproduction.
Her practice includes drafting and negotiating surrogacy and donor agreements, establishing parentage, handling stepparent and second-parent adoptions, and offering legal assistance in name and gender marker changes. Jen brings a distinctive and empathetic perspective to her work, having previously served as an egg donor and sharing in her own personal losses in her family building journey—experiences that give her deep insight into the intimate and emotional complexities of collaborative reproduction.
Michelle is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technologies where she has worked with fellow attorneys to draft model legislation and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and its Legal Professionals Group where she was elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors and appointed as the Chair of the Professional Development Committee. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys, a credentialed professional organization dedicated to the advancement of best legal practices in the area of assisted reproduction. Michelle is a frequent speaker on reproductive legal issues, both locally and nationally, addressing medical and legal professionals including the American Bar Associations Section of Family Law, Assisted Reproductive Technologies committee.
